It has finally arrived, the day Pelican Publishing/Arcadia releases my middle grade chapter book, Ranch Girl and the Orphan Lamb Adventure. I want to thank so many of you for your constant encouragement and sincere happiness for me. I especially, of course, thank God.
I find writing to be hard work but a true labor of love. As Anne (of Anne of Green Gables fame) once asked her guardian Marilla, “Do you never imagine things different from what they really are?” When the no-nonsense Marilla answered in the negative, Anne said, “Oh, Miss—Marilla, how much you miss!”
Never give up that child-like ability to imagine—and to dream.
Again, all I really want to say on Release Day is “thank you.” Thank you for reading my blogs, for being out there somewhere, for being who you are. Someone once said that we read to know we are not alone. Always remember that you are not alone. There’s always a book around the corner.
